I have noticed on a few of the new upcoming sites with the features like this they have tool which they can edit for the main news.  this is like a flash banner at the top where they can add a few pictures with headlines that link to news or pages within the site.

these seem to be done on flash and the toolbar seems quite simple, is it possible to have one of those incorperated into the site, or somekinda, code or help that may allow us to make one ourself?  ive been googling like crazy, but all i get is crap.  A really high end version of what im looking for is here, but i hope you get the idea?  I think this looks so smart and would be a real focal point on the sites!

we'll look into making this as an element you can use in version 2.

That sounds cool, like i said, it can make the site look real pro if setup in the right way.  I been tring too google some kinda program or code to make one, but Its hard to find.  Such a simple thing but whatthe hell is it called to search for.  I mean banner?  news flash?  banner flash news?  u put any of those things into an enbgine and u get everything apart from tht one thing....  google is amazing, maybe too amazing...lol

a little late but I think what you mean is a feature showcase or something which can be done by using jquery libraries and just xhtml/css
